Wargashuyse
Wargashuyse is a county southwest of Vught. The area comprises 45 ha but is crossed by the busy Rijksweg 65. The area is owned by the Brabants Landschap Foundation.
The country house, whose oldest part dates back to 1725, but which dates back to 1842, is being rented to individuals, such as Frank Houben today. It is a municipal monument. The house is surrounded by a parkland forest in English landscape style. From the villa, oak and beech leaves run in a star shape. Wargashuyse has always been closely linked with Helvoirt. Of a gender the Wargashuyse has already been mentioned in 1300. Various counts from this gender are mentioned in documents. In 1454 it became a property of the Van Campen family.
In the middle of the 17th century the castle was sold to Frans Adriaan van Grinsven, who was Helvoirt's helm in 1636 and state-minded. Frans Adriaan died in 1664 and his son Adriaan grew well. Until 1765, it remained good in the family. Then it came in alternating hands of those who also owned the Castle Zwijnsbergen.
