According to Pickeé

Theo Pickeé (Eygelshoven, July 27, 1938 - Landgraaf, 1 December 2003) was a Dutch sports director. Pickeé was Chairman of Beta Football Club Roda JC from 1991 until his death.

Pickée was a real estate agent and project developer. In 1980 he became involved with Roda JC. In 1991 he became president of this club. He worked closely with lender and board member technical issues Nol Hendriks.

During the reign of Pickée, Roda moved from Kaalheide to Parkstad Limburg Stadium in 2000. The new stadium gave Roda's budget a significant boost. Pickée also fought for a merger of Roda JC with MVV and Fortuna Sittard. This gave him rage responses from fans.

Pickée was diagnosed with cancer in 2002. In November 2003 he was officially declared ambassador of football in the province of Limburg. He died a few weeks afterwards at the age of 65.

In the Parkstad Limburg Stadium, the South Tribune was renamed in Theo Pickeé Tribune after his death.
