The Culture Week was an initiative promoted by the Ministry for Cultural Heritage and Activities from 1998 to 2012, when for ten days a year it opened free of all the state's art sites: monuments, museums , archaeological areas, archives and libraries. It usually took place on a biennial basis, in the spring (March to May) and in the fall (September or October).
During the initiative, besides the extraordinary and free opening of the museums, there were also conventions, educational workshops, guided tours and concerts of various kinds. Links externalize the wikitesto
