The student of Carlo Cignani, was a forlivese school painter.
In youth he painted two stories for the portico of the Basilica of Santa Maria dei Servi in Bologna, and a canvas for the church of San Vittore di Rimini.
On the main altar of the church of Santa Maria della Visitazione di Forlì, called the Church of the Suffrage, is preserved the Visitation and the Saints Francis Saverio and Giovanni Nepomuceno.
Always in Forlì, but in the Civic Art Gallery, there is a San Romualdo and a self-portrait of him.
