Shannon Briggs


Shannon Briggs (December 4, 1971) is an American heavyweight boxer and actor. Briggs was born in Brooklyn, New York and trained at Jimmy O'Pharrow's Starrett City Boxing Club in Brooklyn, NY.

Briggs started his career in 1992 and was undefeated in his first 25 fights. Shannon won the WBO heavyweight championship title when he beat Sergei Liakhovich knock out in the final round on November 4, 2006. However, he lost his title again in 2007 when he lost from Sultan Ibragimov. On October 16, 2010, Shannon wrote the WBC heavyweight title against Vitali Klitschko. He lost on points.

After a three and a half year break, Shannon made his comeback in 2014. Since then he won eight consecutive times, seven times with a knock out. As a result, he won the NABA Heavyweight title of Raphael Zumbano Love on 28 June 2014.

As an actor, he performed in Bad Boys II with Will Smith and Martin Lawrence, Transporter 2, and The Wackness.
