Soil mark

The Soil marks (translated in Italian with signs or imprints or traces in the soil) are the differences in the color of the soil due to the conformation of archaeological features. The soil marks can be seen when a cumulus of soil produced by the earthing structure has left both the hard and dry material of a previous cumulation and the wet one from a previous moat. They can also be observed when a feature is dissected through the surface layer of the ground to reveal the underlying plaster. Notemodify wikitesto
