Brandi Disterheft (born 1980) is a Candese jazz bassist and composer.

Disterheft, daughter of a jazz pianist, grew up in the District of North Vancouver, British Columbia. She won a scholarship to go to Humber College in Toronto, where she studied under Don Thompson. She also studied Rufus Reid, Rodney Whitaker and Oscar Peterson, who compared her bass game with that of his co-star Ray Brown. Later she went to New York, where she studied at Ron Carter. In 2007 she made her first album, for which she received a Juno Award a year later in the category 'Traditional Jazz Album of the Year'. In 2009 she played bass on a record by Hank Jones and Oliver Jones. This album was nominated for a Grammy in 2011. Discography
