Elia Suleiman


Elia Suleiman, Arabic: إيليا سليمان (Nazareth (Israel), July 28, 1960) is an Arab-Israeli film producer, director, actor and scenario writer. He is best known for the 2002 Divine Intervention (Arabic: Yaddon Illaheyya) movie, a modern tragic comedy about life under occupation in the Palestinian territories won by the Grand Prix du Jury at the Cannes Film Festival that year. In 2008, Suleiman received the Prince Claus Prize from the Prince Claus Fund.
