Mieke Gerritzen


Mieke Gerritzen (Amsterdam, 1962) is a designer and was the director of the Museum of the Image in Breda until January 1, 2017, which was named Graphic Design Museum until December 2011. MOTI was an international museum of visual culture. As of January 1, 2017, MOTI was lifted as a result of a merger with the local heritage museum in Breda.

In the nineties of the 20th century, she acquired fame as one of the first designers to design for new media. From 2002 to 2008 she led the design department of the Sandberg Institute, the master's degree at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam.

Gerritzen received various awards and awards, including the H.N. Workman's prize in 2000 for the design of the leaders for the Netherlands 3, the Rotterdam Design Prize and the Best-Managed Books in 1994 and 1996. Publications
