Stephan Lucien Joseph van Waardenburg (Buitenzorg, 21 February 1900 - The Hague, April 4, 1975) was governor of Dutch-New Guinea from 1949 to 1953.

From 1921 to 1941 he was executive officer and substitute in Dutch-India. During the Second World War he was interned in Japanese prison camps. After the war he returned as a government adviser and delegate in southern Sumatra. On January 9, 1950, he was retroactively appointed as governor of Dutch New Guinea on December 27, 1949.

On April 1, 1953, he became governor as a governor and went back to The Hague, where he lived until his death in 1975. Externe link
