Subgroup sector

The SOIUSA Pyramid, or the various subdivisions of the Alps according to SOIUSA.

Subgroup Sector (abbreviated as: STG SR) indicates a particular alpine massive identified by SOIUSA.

SOIUSA identifies 1625 subgroups (STGs) and subgroups are normally the most detailed subdivision of the alpine chain. Sometimes, in order to better specify the subgroup, the subgroup sector is introduced.

When there is subdivision of the subgroup into sectors, SOIUSA code is expanded by adding a letter identifying the industry. Example wikitesto setup

For example, the subgroup called the Italian Contrafforti di Monte Bianco is divided into four sectors. Therefore each mountain of the subgroup will have an expanded SOIUSA code. The Aiguille Blanche de Peuterey has as its code the following: I / B-7.V-B.2.c / d. Bibliografiamodifica wikitesto Voices correlateemodify wikitesto
