Vincent Braam


V.T.M. (Vincent) Braam (October 30, 1950) is a Dutch politician of the VVD.

Braam studied at the Catholic University of Nijmegen history and then worked for ten years in education. He became an elder-parent of the municipality of Son and Breugel in 1990 and in May 1998, Mayor of Roerdalen. In addition, as of September 1, 1999, he was a mayor of the neighboring municipality of Ambt Montfort for half a year to replace the severely ill and Marjo Koopman-Goumans, who died a day later. In early 2003 Braam returned to education as a member of the Executive Board of the Foundation for Education and Vocational Education, later the Tilburg Education Group, in Tilburg. He became president in 2005. As of September 2012, he was a temporary successor to Jan Hendrikx, who retired in mid 2012, for almost three years, the acting mayor of Baarle-Nassau.
