Watsonia is the scientific journal of the Botanical Society of the British Isles (BSBI). The magazine has existed since 1949 and is named after British botanist William Watson. It will appear twice a year.
Articles in the magazine include vascular plants from the British Isles. Possible subjects are taxonomy, biosystems, ecology, biogeography and nature conservation. There are also short announcements, book reviews and death reports posted in the magazine.
Watsonia is sent to members of the BSBI and subscribed institutions. One year after written publication, the articles are recorded in the digital archive of the BSBI, where they can be viewed.
