Hugo I of Naaldwijk


Hugo I van Naaldwijk (born approx. 1195 - after 1230) was Erfmaarskalk of Holland.

Hugo was born as the son of Bartholomeus van Voorne of Naaldwijk. He owned goods in Naaldwijk and Zwartewaal.

He was married to the inheritance of the Van Velsen family. Through this marriage he obtained the glory of Velsen and the Schoonhoven forest at Velsen. From this marriage he received a son, Hugo II of Naaldwijk (1220, unknown).

It's unknown when Hugo I died, at least after 1230. Sources
