Gerard Boersma (Harlingen, August 1, 1976) is a Dutch painter in Northern Realism. His work is characterized by a very fine technique and is similar to that of his old-fashioned Jopie Huisman.

biography

Gerard Boersma was born in Harlingen and grew up in the Frisian cities of Makkum, Workum and Bolsward. Since his study period he lives and works in Leeuwarden. In 1999, he completed the degree until 2nd grade drawing teacher in Leeuwarden. He graduated in 2001 in the direction of drawing art at the Minerva Academy in Groningen. Theme

Gerard Boersma's paintings are mainly located in an urban landscape. The development in the influence of humans on the landscape and the interaction that occur here is central. Illustrated figures usually show little social interaction. They are especially shown in their confrontation with the urban elements.
