List of railways named after a composer

This page lists railway tracks named after a composer.

The railways have given names to their trains from the outset. The first locomotives, for example, had names like Rocket, Arend and Limmat. As the rail network grew further, long-distance trains were also named, such as the California Zephyr in the United States and the Oriente Express in Europe. Both the CIWL and the Mitropa had already named their long-distance trains before the Second World War.
