Nicholas Speaks


Nicholas Parle (circa 1964) is an Australian clavicleist and organist. Lifecycle

Parle learned piano cry at David Kinsela and obtained a Bachelor of Music at the University of Sydney.

In 1985, with a Queen Elizabeth II Silver Jubilee Award for Young Australians, he drew to London to fulfill himself more musically.

In 1989, he won the First Prize of Clover Cimble in the International Competition of Bruges, in the context of the Festival Musica Antiqua, third prize winner of the First Prize in thirty years.

Nicholas Parle acts as soloist and basso continual player throughout Europe, Japan and Australia. He teaches clover cymbals at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, and teaches courses in Poland, Hungary, Australia and Japan. Since 2004, he also teaches clover cymbals at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Leipzig. Discography
