Rohrbrunn


Rohrbrunn (Hungarian: Nádkút) is a place in Burgenland in Austria. It belongs to the municipality of Deutsch Kaltenbrunn in the district of Jennersdorf. Rohrbrunn is located near the state border with Styria and the Lafnitz river.

Rohrbrunn became part of the Kingdom of Hungary in 1920 until the Trianon treaty. The village has been inhabited by ethnic Germans since the Middle Ages. As Nádkuth, it had been owned by the noble family Batthyány for centuries.

Alois Brunner, an Austrian Nazi criminal criminal, was born in Nádkut in 1912, as Rohrbrunn called.
