Saigonhaven

The Saigonhaven (Vietnamese: Cảng Sài Gòn) is the port of the Vietnamese city of Ho Chi Minh City. The port has its name due to the name of the city before 1975, Saigon, and is located in the river Sài Gòn.

The Saigon port is Vietnam's largest port. In 2011 she was ranked 29th of the world's busiest ports. She has always played an important role in the development of the city of Saigon, later called Ho Chi Minh City. During the colonial period, she was used for import and export to and from France and other European countries.

Vietnam's economy today is dependent on imports and exports from Saigon port for more than two thirds. Due to the anticipated growth, we look at the possibility of moving the port company to an area south-east of Ho Chi Minh City. 10° 49′ 21″ NB, 106° 45′ 13″ OL
