Duke of Santa Cruz was a Brazilian noble title created by Emperor Peter I in 1829 for his brother-in-law Auguste de Beauharnais.

Five years later, in 1835, Auguste became Peter's son in law when he married his daughter, Queen Mary II of Portugal. This marriage was completed in Munich on 1 December 1834 and in person on 26 January 1835 in Lisbon.
