Neck barrier

The Halse Barrier is a private estate of 13 ha near Vught, but belongs to the municipality of Boxtel in the province of North Brabant.

The estate is named after a toll-tree that was placed here over the stone road from Eindhoven to 's-Hertogenbosch, built in 1741. This was in the Hal neighborhood. The stone road has since been expanded and has now become a very busy motorway as the A2 motorway.

The estate is a landscape park with a water party, a vein and relatively high altitude differences. There are many royal creatures, among which you find gagelstruwelen and moerashertshooi.

The estate is freely accessible, apart from the immediate surroundings of the country house. It borders in the north of the valley of the Essche Stream and in the south at the Wilhelminapark.
