Nikolaj Znaider (Copenhagen, July 6, 1975) is a Danish-Israeli violinist. In 1997 he won the first prize in the prestigious Queen Elizabeth League for Violin in Brussels. Znaider plays on a Guarneriviool from 1741. biography

Nikolaj Znaider was born in Copenhagen and has Polish-Israeli parents. He started studying violin with Russian pedagogy Boris Kushnir. In June 1992, at the age of 16, he won the first prize at the fourth International Carl Nielsen Violin Competition. Five years later, he became world famous by winning the Queen Elizabeth match.

He plays all over the world with the most prominent orchestras.
