SC Magdeburg is a German sports club from Maagdenburg. The club was founded in 1955 in the project of sports clubs, which was named SC Aufbau Magdeburg until 1965. The club is doing athletics, canoeing, gymnastics, rowing and swimming but is best known for its handball team.
The team, which has the name SC Magdeburg Gladiators, has won several great prizes, such as the Champions League and the EHF Cup. In addition, the team became ten times champion of East Germany. Home matches are played in the Bördelandhalle. The club colors are green and red.
