An espionage photo is a photo made of a product before the production is or before it has been officially presented to the (trade) press.

In general, espionage photos are made of products that have to be tested before the official presentation in the open air. It's usually about feed, sailing or airplanes.

The creator of an espionage photo can be a professional, a professional photographer. This happens when the trade press suspects that a company is busy developing - for example - a new car model. You can then post in the vicinity of the company to capture, photograph or film a glimpse of the new model. It can also be a coincidental passenger who sees a prototype on the public road. As a result, increasing the number of mobile phones provided with a built-in digital camera is increasing.

To prevent the appearance of the model from spreading during testing, prototypes are therefore disguised.

The presumption of the emergence of a new model can be fed by exhibiting study models. In some cases, there is a suspicion that a company is just looking forward to leaking a model early. For example, prototypes of BMW motorcycles are strikingly photographed at gas stations.
