Chao Phraya Express Boat

A stop of the boat service

The Chao Phraya Express Boat (Thai: เรือ ด่วน เจ้าพระยา) is a transport service in Thailand, available at Chao Phraya. It provides river basins with water transport between the stops in the capital of Bangkok and to Nonthaburi, the province north of Bangkok. The service was established in 1971.

The Chao Phraya Express Boat Company offers its service both for local commuters and tourists. It also features special boats for tourists. The service has been very successful in moving large numbers of passengers into a city whose roads are often criticized for the multiple files (the bot service, along with the Bangkok Skytrain and the Bangkok subway are the only ways to avoid the files absolutely ), but also with the style of the fleet - graceful, wooden boats - rarely found elsewhere in the world in water transport.

The service has 65 boats. The route has a total length of 21 kilometers. The boats sail from six o'clock in the morning until midnight. Every day, 40,000 passengers travel with the service.
