Ed Kronenburg (Zeist, September 13, 1951) is a Dutch former senior officer, former Grandmaster of the Queen's House and currently Ambassador to the Netherlands in Paris. Life and work
Mr. Kronenburg studied civil law at Utrecht University. He started his career as an official at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and worked, among other things, at the Dutch Embassy in Jakarta. After that, Kronenburg was employed as Deputy Director Budget and Permanent Representation at the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development. From 1993 to 2000 he worked as Deputy Cabinet Commissioner of the European Commissioner Hans van den Broek, after which he served as one of Europe's Chief Executive Officers at the Directorate-General for European Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, after which Kronenburg also became Deputy Director-General for European Cooperation. From 2004 to 2007 he held the position of Director Cabinet of the Secretary-General of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. Then he fulfilled the position of grandmaster of the Queen's House. From 2008 until the end of 2011, Kronenburg was Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He was succeeded by Renée Jones-Bos. He himself was appointed ambassador to Paris.
