Ra Stua

Cross Field.

Ra Štua (sometimes italianized in La Stua) is a dolomitic spot north of Cortina d'Ampezzo.

It is a primitive area that rises in the last stretch of the Boite Valley (the stream is born a little further north, at Campo Croce), closed between the Red Croce of Ampezzo and Lavinores. It has a certain importance from the point of view of hiking, as it is the starting point for various destinations, including Fodara Vedla refuge, Biella hut, Sennes hut and Munt de Sennes hut. A small military cemetery of the First World War.

Can be reached by car taking a side of the SS51 at Sant'Uberto, locally known as Turniche; however, the road is closed during transit during the high season (July-August) and during the winter season. On foot, always from Sant'Uberto, it takes about 1 hour of time (easy to drive even in winter when the shelter is open).

There is Ra Stua (1,668 m) shelter. Voices correlateemodify wikitesto
