The Anticentre (or Superguscio dell'Anticentro) superplane is a region of space that emits HI radiation, in the direction of the Milky Way, in the constellation of Orion, at the boundary with the Unicorn; it is a galactic superalloy with a spherical shape and emitting gas jets. Its nature is subject to debate: it has been proposed since its discovery in the seventies that it could be a dwarf galaxy absorbed by our or a spiral arm of our Galaxy.
