Didolodontidae

The Didolodontidae is a family of extinct ungulates belonging to the Condylarthra. The animals from this group lived during the Paleocene and Eocene in South America. They are closely related to the Mioclaenidae. The Didolodontidae have probably developed South American litopters. Recently it has been proposed to merge the Didolodontidae, Mioclaenidae and Litopterna into a new order, the Panameriungulata.

Didolodontides were planters with the size of a contemporary hare (about 60 cm long). The best-known sexes are Lamegoia from Brazil's Central Palaces, Ernestokokenia from Argentina's Late Palace, and Didolodus from Argentina's Early Eocene.
