Farewell to the Mountains by Alan Hovhaness is a composition for piano. In this work, the composer pioneered the sound of an oath, hence fast tones and many repetitions. The work is written in varying sizes: 19/16, 20/16, 23/16 and 24/16 species are over; it changes so quickly that one thinks there is no type of gender; only pace.
