Martinshaw

Martinshaw is a historic British motorcycle brand.

De bedrijfsnaam was: Martinshaw Motors Ltd., Clarence Works, Teddington, later Twickenham.

This was a small factory that started in 1923 with a rather ambitious model offering: Blackburne built-in engines were installed in their own frames ranging from 348cc-one cylinder to the 998cc-V-twin. In 1924 the offer was already a lot smaller: only 348 and 545cc side-lockers were available, which had a Sturmey-Archer gearbox and full chain drive. In 1925 some models were added. Moss gearboxes were also available, like 348cc Blackburne but also the oil-cooled 349cc-Bradshaw. However, it was the last production year.
