Woman lying down


Woman lying down is a 27 × 41 cm oil painting on the table painted in 1926 by the Spanish painter Salvador Dalí.

It is kept in the Salvador Dalí Museum in St. Petersburg (Florida).

In April 1926, Dalí knows Pablo Picasso on a trip to Paris, returning to Spain produces a series of works inspired by the paintings of the latter, this is one of these paintings.

The woman portrayed is her sister Aña María.

The painting was exhibited during the second personal exhibition held at the Dalmau Gallery in Barcelona in 1926.
