Yvan Desloover (July 29, 1963) is a former Belgian footballer. Career
In 1981, the young Yvan Desloover made his debut at the KSV Waregem of trainer Sandor Popovics. When the Hungarian was replaced by Urbain Haesaert in 1983, Waregem grew into a subtopper in the First Class. Also in the UEFA Cup, the West Flanders could strike several times. In addition, one of the big promises was in one team, which was mainly due to the talent of international Danny Veyt and Philippe Desmet.
Despite some deals, Waregem remained. In 1987, the club received in-house ruling national champion RSC Anderlecht. Waregem soon arrived 1-0, but the importance of the game made it a terrible mistake by Desloover. After a severe tussle with the defender, Juan Lozano had to suffer. The Anderlecht player ran a double open leg fracture and although he still played football, injury meant the end of his career. In addition, for a period of four matches was suspended. Waregem's blonde defender did not have the reputation to be a hard player, yet his entire career was overshadowed by that one tackle. After that there was a further lawsuit and whole procedure. Desloover drew the longest end.
In the 1992/1993 season, Desloover played very strong. But a season later, he could not prevent Waregem from finishing in the last place. The club had to demolish and Desloover sought a new club after thirteen years. He ended up at the Sporting Charleroi of Trainer Georges Leekens. The meanwhile 31-year-old Desloover was no fixed value in the team, but lasted for two seasons at Charleroi.
In 1996, Desloover took a step back. He joined the Standard Wetteren football club, where he remained until 2000.
