European Privacy Seal

The European Privacy Seal, also known as EuroPriSe, is a European seal that certifies an IT product or service when it complies with European privacy and data protection regulations.

EuroPriSe started in June 2007 as a pilot project with a budget of 1.3 million euros through the eTEN program of the European Commission and became permanent in 2009 for success.

EuroPriSe certificates (stamps) awarded to IT products and IT services have a validity of 2 years after which the certification process must be re-run.
