Germandön is a Swedish island on the coast of Luleå. It is one of the larger islands in this shore coast. The island consists of two parts: in the north of Bastaholmen and in the south the actual Gerandön. In earlier times, there were two islands that grew together by increasing the area. The separation between the islands, the Gerandösundet (Gerandö Strait) is now an inner lake on the island. The flat island hardly exceeds sea level, hence there are swamps on the island.
