Bill Gwatney


William (Bill) Gwatney (?, August 26, 1959 - Little Rock (Arkansas), August 13, 2008) was an American politician and businessman.

Gwatney was the leader of the Democratic Party in Arkansas and a personal friend of Hillary and Bill Clinton (Clinton was governor of Arkansas). Prior to this post he was ten years senator in the senate of Arkansas. In addition, he was also the chairman of the financial committee supporting the election of Mike Beebe as governor of Arkansas in 2006. He also owned three car dealerships in Pulaski County (Arkansas).

Bill Gwatney was shot down by a white man on August 13, 2008, who volunteered at the office of the Democratic Party in Little Rock. He died later in a hospital.
