Erich Michael Turk


Erich Michaël Türk (Cluj, Romania 1972) is a Romanian organist and clavicleist. Lifecycle

Türk studied organ at the Conservatory "Gheorghe Dima" at Ursula Philippi and also studied cordialism at Florentin Mihăescu. He studied further in Vienna with Michael Radulescu (organ) and Gordon Murray (clover cimbel). He also participated in master courses for both instruments in Portugal, France, Germany, Switzerland and Russia.

From 1994 to 1999 he was organist and co-ordinator in the Lutheran church of Medias. From 1995 he studied basso continuo and organ at the "Gheorghe Dima" Conservatory in Cluj.

He performed frequently as a soloist or together with the barbarian ensemble "Transylvania", both in Romania and in other countries (Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Austria, Hungary, Moldova).

In 2000, he won the second prize in the international organ concert, in the context of the Festival Musica Antiqua in Bruges. He was also a laureate of the first international organ contest in Kotka (Finland) in 2002. Discography

Performances by Türk were often recorded during radio concerts, including Radio Cluj and Radio Bucharest, the Austrian Radio ORF /, the AVRO and NCRV Radio / NL, Radio3 Belgium).
