John de Prieëlle


John de Prieëlle (September 13, 1944) is a Dutch politician of the CHU and later the CDA.

He was the head of the mayor of Haarlemmermeer for his appointment as mayor of the then Gelderse municipality of Hedel in June 1974. A few years later, he was also acting mayor of the municipality of Maurik. In 1981, his appointment as Mayor of the South Holland municipality of Pijnacker continued, which he would remain until August 1, 2001.

After leaving H.J. As a mayor of Heerjansdam, as a result of the forthcoming removal of that municipality, it was decided to appoint a deputy mayor for the choice of De Prieëlle. He exercised that position from January 2000 until that municipality took place on January 1, 2003 in the municipality of Zwijndrecht. Subsequently he became acting mayor in Maasland and Schipluiden. Also in 2004, when he entered the new municipality of Central Delfland, he remained in mayor for another six months. In 2004 he became Mayor of Goedereede and subsequently, acting as Mayor of Binnenmaas, from 2005 to 2007 . After that, De Prieëlle became the mayor of the municipality of Ouderkerk. On January 1, 2015, that municipality has entered the new municipality of Krimpenerwaard. This led to an end to his administrative career in Ouderkerk. In his career, he has been appointed as (acting) mayor in ten different municipalities.
