The Tremembé is an indigenous population from northeastern Brazil.

The Tremembé lives spread along the coast of Brazil, between the states of Ceará and Maranhão. They live mainly in the village of Almofala, in the municipality of Itarema in the state of Ceará.

The Tremembé lives mainly in fishing, hunting and commerce. They make and sell jewelry made of shells, lemon tarts and bean seeds.

The country, or the recognition of their land rights, is the biggest problem of the Tremembé. They have been fighting for the recognition of their country since the 80's.
