Wim van den Dungen

Wim van den Dungen (Budel-Dorplein, May 11, 1944) is a former Dutch footballer.

Van den Dungen played in his youth at Budel Amateur Club. In 1966, PSV took him to Eindhoven. Van den Dungen was actually an attacker, but moved to PSV via the midfield to the right back position. He played eight seasons for PSV, but did not win any prize. In the 229 matches he participated in, he scored fifteen times. In the Europa Cup Van den Dungen played 17 games in which he scored twice. One of those goals scored in 1971 in the semi-finals of the EuropaCup 2 in the Bernabéu stadium; he made 1-1 against Real Madrid, which seemed to secure PSV from a final place. Soon, however, Real made an end to that dream. Van den Dungen remained his entire career semiprof and moved to the Belgian Diest in 1975. Also see
