Frans Izaäk Abresch (Groningen, 17 November 1783 - Zuidhorn, 4 July 1852) was a Dutch mayor. Life and work
Abresch was christened in the Der Aa church in Groningen on November 19, 1783. He was a son of Mr. Jeremiah Frederik Abresch and Geertruida Francisca Guichart. He studied law and became Registrar of the Peace Court in Zuidhorn. In 1813 he became Mayor of Zuidhorn. In 1849 he was succeeded by his son Hendrik Guichart Abresch. Another son, Mr. Jeremiah Frederik Abresch, became councilor in the court of Leeuwarden.
Abresch passed away at the age of 68
