Frans Kellendonk Prize


The French Kellendonk Prize is a literary award awarded once every three years in 1993 for a Dutch literary work or oeuvre that demonstrates an independent and original view of the social or existential problem in that work or oeuvre. Combinations with other literary expressions (translation, nomination, journalism) are possible. The prize is awarded by the Dutch Literature Society and was initiated by the French Kellendonk Foundation Foundation in honor of and memory of the Dutch writer Frans Kellendonk who died in 1990.
