Saskia Laaper


Saskia T.M. Laaper-ter Steege (Almelo, April 19, 1964) is a Dutch politician for the Party of Labor. She was from 19 January 2010 to 11 May of the same year-member of the Lower House of the States General, replacing Attje Kuiken, who went to maternity leave. She was involved in security and police, fire department, AIVD, radicalization and disaster.

Laaper followed the degree to drama lecturer at the Hogeschool voor de Kunsten. Then she studied police and security studies at the Vrije Universiteit. Laaper then fulfilled various functions at the interface of social cohesion and security. Among other things, she worked as a (drama) teacher at the Rotterdam Conservatory and in charge of the first Day Detention in Rotterdam, at several HALT agencies, and she gave training on suspicious hearings to police detectives, FIOD, UWV and Social Services. She worked as a district manager from 1997 at the municipality of Dordrecht. From 2002, she worked as a strategic policy officer at the Tilburg municipality as security, project leader safety and since 2008 as program manager security. Since mid 2010, she is Regional Information Manager & amp; Expertise Center (RIEC) for the administrative approach to organized crime in South-East Brabant. Laaper lives in Eindhoven.
