Monkey jojoy Víctor Julio Suárez Rojas (5 February 1953, Cabrera, Cundinamarca - September 22, 2010, Sierra de la Macarena), alias Jorge Briceño (Suárez), alias Mono Jojoy, was the number two of the left Colombian rebel movement FARC. He was killed in an air raid and a groundoffensive of the Colombian forces.
Tanja Nijmeijer would have been confidant and interpreter of FARC Commander Mono Jojoy of the Estado Mayor del Bloque Oriental (EMBO).
The government of Colombia had promised a sum of about 2 million euros for Jojoy, suspected of hundreds of murders and abductions. In the United States, about 3.8 million euros were promised for him.
