Chris Minh Doky (Copenhagen, February 7, 1969) is a Danish jazz bassist.

Doky, the son of a Danish pop singer and Vietnamese physician and guitarist and brother of jazz pianist Niels Lan Doky, started playing piano at the age of six. When he was 15 he discovered the electric bass, two years later he stepped over to the double bass. He studied at the conservatory and went to New York City in 1989, where he performed with Joey Calderazzo, Curtis Stigers and Larry Goldings, and bassist Mike Stern. In addition, he worked with Trilok Gurtu, Randy Brecker, David Sylvian, David Sanborn, and the saxophonist Bill Evans. He made three albums for Storyville Records, currently under contract with Blue Note Records. Doky has a relationship with his brother, the Doky Brothers, and leads the Chris Minh Doky & amp; the nomads. Discography (selection) DVD (selection) Externe link
