Fragmented Gospel Book (A. II. 10.)

Folium 3v contains the gulf of the gospel to Matthew from the gospel of Durham.

The fragmented gospel book (A. II. 10.), from the Durham Cathedral Library, is a fragmented script that is preserved under the A. II. 10. The fragmentation is from a seventh-century gospel book. The book has been preserved in three separate sections. Although the book is fragmented, it is the earliest saved example of a series of vivid island gospel books. Other books are the Book of Durrow, the Lindisfarne Gospel, and the Book of Kells.
