Regional Marche Region Forestry Inspector is considered the forerunner of modern truffle farming. He edited ed Editions Edagricole, Bologna, 1970, in which he illustrated the method he experimented for the realization of micorrized plants known today as the method of Mannozzi-Torini.

Lorenzo Mannozzi Torini in 1952 moved to the town of Arezzo then to Florence and then to Turin.
