Sinecie

The Sinèches (in ancient Greek: συνοίκια or συνοικέσια, synoìkia or synoikésia) were festivities of ancient Athens celebrated on the sixteenth day of the month of ecatombeone. According to the legend was set up by the mythical King of Athens Teseo to commemorate the political unification of Attica, Sinecism.

During the Sinecs, sacrifices were made to Athens, Zeus and, starting with Timothy's victory over the Spartans (374 BC), to Peace. Notemodify wikitesto Bibliografiamodifica wikitesto Secondary sources Voices correlateemodify wikitesto
