Skyplexnet is a satellite communications network designed and manufactured by Alenia Spazio (now Thales Alenia Space Italia) and operated by Telespazio. The particularity of the satellite network is to use a high-performance regenerative satellite payload, called Skyplex, also designed and built by Alenia Spazio. The network uses satellite channels on Hot Bird 6 in Ku band and on W3A in Ku / Ka band. Both of these satellites belong to the Eutelsat fleet. Skyplexnet is used, among others, by Firefighters and Civil Protection.
