Portrait of Jan Simon van der Aa (Maris, 1927)
Jan Simon van der Aa (Hornhuizen, July 25, 1865 - Lausanne, February 24, 1944) was a well-known Dutch lawyer, professor and chief judge at the Ministry of Justice. He has contributed to the establishment of, inter alia, the children's laws of 1901. From 1906 to 1926 he was a professor of criminal law at the University of Groningen.
The study association of criminal law and criminology at the University of Groningen is named after Simon van der Aa. Externe link
